यह कल कल छल छल बहती क्या कहती गंगा धारा ?
युग युग से बहता आता यह पुण्य प्रवाह हमारा ।धृ|

हम ईसके लघुतम जलकण बनते मिटते हेै क्षण क्षण
अपना अस्तित्व मिटाकर तन मन धन करते अर्पण
बढते जाने का शुभ प्रण प्राणों से हमको प्यारा ।१|

ईस धारा में घुल मिलकर वीरों की राख बही है
ईस धारामें कितने ही ऋषियों ने शरण ग्रही है
ईस धाराकी गोदि में, खेला ईतिहास हमारा ।२|

यह अविरल तप का फल है यह राष्ट्रप्रवाह प्रबल है
शुभ संस्कृति का परिचायक भारत मां का आंचल है
हिंदुकी चिरजीवन मर्यादा धर्म सहारा ।३|

क्या ईसको रोख सकेंगे मिटनेवाले मिट जायें
कंकड पत्थर की हस्ती कया बाथा बनकर आये
ढह जायेंगे गिरि पर्वत कांपे भूमंडल सारा ।४|

English Transliteration;
yaha kala kala Cala Cala bahatI kyA kahatI gaMgA dhArA ?
yuga yuga se bahatA AtA yaha puNya pravAha hamArA |dhRu|

hama Isake laGutama jalakaNa banate miTate he#0948; kShaNa kShaNa
apanA astitva miTAkara tana mana dhana karate arpaNa
baDhate jAne kA SuBa praNa prANoM se hamako pyArA |1|

Isa dhArA meM Gula milakara vIroM kI rAKa bahI hai
Isa dhArAmeM kitane hI RuShiyoM ne SaraNa grahI hai
Isa dhArAkI godi meM, KelA ItihAsa hamArA |2|

yaha avirala tapa kA Pala hai yaha rAShTrapravAha prabala hai
SuBa saMskRuti kA paricAyaka BArata mAM kA AMcala hai
hiMdukI cirajIvana maryAdA dharma sahArA |3|

kyA Isako roKa sakeMge miTanevAle miTa jAyeM
kaMkaDa patthara kI hastI kayA bAthA banakara Aye
Dhaha jAyeMge giri parvata kAMpe BUmaMDala sArA |4|

Meaning
Listen carefully to what the flow of river Ganga has to say. Since ages has been flowing this sacred stream (i.e. culture) of ours.

We are like the countless transient droplets merging in this great flow, offering our body, mind and wealth. The solemn resolve to march ahead is dearer to us than life.

The sacred ash of countless heroes has been flown in this stream. Many rishis have taken refuge in this stream. This great stream is the cradle of our history.

This gigantic sacred stream is the fruit of unfading penance. It is the epitome of the auspicious culture of Bhaarat; the Hindu culture based on the eternal principles of Dharma.

Can anybody stop this flow? Those who tried have perished. How can small stones and pebbles hinder this vast flow, where mountains have crumbled and the earth shaken by it?
